moon rise

New moon 03/19/2011 Saturday evening went out to the ocean to photograph the moon that was closer to the earth in a number of years. March 19th 2011 the moon was only 221,565 miles (356,575 kilometers) away. The closest it’s been in almost 20 years. It appeared 14 percent bigger and 30% brighter than usual. As of this writing,. It was so thrilling to see the moon rise- most spectacularly. I photographed some more close ups but felt this told the story as I say it. Some what moving as it did so quickly and there for not razor sharp. This is all in my imagination as I saw it.
